Yamaha Factory Ride Award, contingency return to CSBK for 2019 season

Yamaha Motor Canada is pleased to announced the return of the bLU cRU Factory Ride Award to the Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship for the 2019 season. The coveted award will be up for grabs in the Amateur Lightweight Sport Bike class for the second year in a row.

In addition, Yamaha is posting $10,500 in bLU cRU contingency rewards for CSBK Lightweight racers competing on Yamaha YZF-R3 machinery.

The bLU cRU Factory Ride Award was introduced in the discipline of road racing for the first time last year. Ontario racer Jake LeClair became the inaugural winner after earning the national championship in Amateur Lightweight Sport Bike on his R3. The award will go to the top-finishing racer competing on a Yamaha YZF-R3 during the entire national racing season.

“Jake is proof that this program is the real deal,” said Graeme Jones, marketing coordinator at Yamaha Motor Canada. “He picked up a brand-new 2019 Yamaha YZF-R6 this spring and will be racing it in the CSBK Amateur ranks this year. The rest of the field has taken notice and we’re excited to see who will rise above in 2019 to join Jake, Tomas Casas and the rest of our racers in the bLU cRU.”
