Toronto, November 23, 2021: Power Sport Services announced today that the 2022 Calgary Motorcycle Show and 2022 Vancouver Motorcycle Show will not be moving forward as originally planned. The return of these shows - previously scheduled for January 7 to 9, 2022 and January 21 to 23, 2022 respectively - has now been postponed to 2023.
The powersports industry, like many other sectors, has been significantly impacted by the pandemic, with interruptions to the global supply chain, affecting availability of raw materials, production on assembling lines, inventory levels and delivery timelines. Despite the industry’s best intentions and efforts to produce a national show tour this year, these challenges have made it extremely difficult for the majority of manufacturers to participate in a 4-city national Motorcycle Show tour in 2022. As a result, the Board of Directors of Power Sport Services has made the difficult decision to only proceed with the Toronto Motorcycle Show and the Montreal Motorcycle Show in 2022.
Bob Ramsay, President of Power Sport Services stated that while the impacts of COVID-19 continue to be felt across the industry, we are optimistic that production levels and order fulfillment challenges will begin to improve throughout 2022, allowing Power Sport Services to confidently move forward in 2023.
Until then, riders and future rider of all styles, ages and experience levels, are invited to re-unite in Toronto (February 18 – 20, 2022) and Montreal (February 25 – 27, 2022), where they can get their fix of two-wheel, three-wheel and four-wheel interaction. Manufacturer support is strong - for both the 2022 Toronto Motorcycle Show and the 2022 Montreal Motorcycle Show - with over 70% of OEMs now officially confirmed for these events.
