CSBK has confirmed the July 13 – 17 Schedule of events for the upcoming Double Header weekend at Atlantic Motorsport Park, Nova Scotia, presented by Honda Canada and Pro Cycle. This weekend at the track near Shubenacadie will mark the first Double Header Atlantic Event since 2010.
As was the case six years ago, reigning Champ Jordan Szoke heads to “Shubie” well into an unbeaten streak aboard his Express Lane - Motovan BMW S1000RR Superbike. Szoke, from Lynden, ON, has won the past ten National Feature events, an unequaled achievement. “Jordan of the Jungle’s” last defeat happened at A.M.P. in July of 2014. Szoke’s Superbike debut was at the road course North-East of Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 1997.
Some interesting items associated with the Mopar CSBK National Schedule:
1. This will be the first weekend of 2016 when every class has two National final races, one Saturday, one Sunday.
2. Thursday Practice will be hosted at AMP by the National group and Pro Cycle on Thursday, July 14, at a cost of $130.00 per competitor, including tax.
3. Thursday, July 14, 6pm-9pm: The Traditional event kick off party will take place at the brand new home of Pro Cycle at 360 Higney Ave, in the Burnside Industrial Park, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, B3B 0L4.
4. Mopar will have their major market display, based from an 18 wheeler rig, on site for this event.
5. As is traditional at AMP National rounds, two selected support class Invitational race events will be staged, one for Lightweight SuperSport entries, the other combined for Formula 46/Sportsman, based on local race formats. These classes will not require spec tires, and riders must have a current race membership from a recognized racing group.
