The fourth annual Motorama Custom Car and Motorsports Expo presented by Mothers takes place this weekend at the International Centre near the Toronto International Airport, and the top motorcycle racers from the 2017 Mopar CSBK Tour will be on hand to sign autographs.
The crew from Dalton Timmis Insurance presents Mopar CSBK on TSN will be based under the Mopar tent attached to the big Mopar trailer in Hall Three. Reigning Mopar CSBK National Superbike Champ Jordan Szoke of Lynden, ON, joins fellow Mopar-backed Pintys Series NASCAR Racer Andrew Wood for Autograph Sessions in the Mopar area,
On Saturday, March 10, Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame member Szoke will be joined by fellow Pro Level National Champion Tomas Casas of Peterborough, ON, to sign Autographs a 1 PM at the Main Booth beside the stage where Motorama VIPs and Special Guests appear.
Szoke, age 39, is the most successful racer in the history of the Superbike Championship, with 12 overall titles in the top class to his credit, as well as 65 Feature race victories since he won his first career Superbike race, and title, back in 1998. In 2018, Szoke will be looking for his fourth career perfect season aboard the Mopar Express Lane and Motovan-backed BMW S1000RR.
18-year-old Casas had climbed the CSBK ladder from the gone-but-not-forgotten Honda CBR125R Cup for young guns to his current position as the Liqui Moly Pro Sport Bike National Champion. Casas rides for Yamaha aboard a YZF-R6 Sport Bike, and aims to repeat as the National Champion in the middleweight division in 2018.
Both Szoke and Casas will begin the National title defence at Shannonville Motorsport Park, east of Belleville, ON, May 25-27. The opening event at S.M.P. will mark the 230th event in the history of the Canadian Superbike National Championship Series, after a debut in Edmonton, AB, in 1980.
Filling more than 300,000 square feet, the Motorama Show is the biggest of its kind in Canada, featuring incredible custom cars, hot rods, classics, rat rods, tuner and imports, exotics and racing vehicles from across the spectrum of Canadian motorsports.
The Motorama Event opens on Friday, March 9 at 10 AM, closing at 9 PM. Saturday, March 10 hours are 10 AM to 9 PM, while the final day Sunday starts at 10 AM and ends at 5 PM.
