West City Powersports Honda Sponsor Start Lights for Shannonville Opener

Belleville’s West City Powersports Honda will be an official sponsor of the Mopar CSBK Starting Lights and Pit Lane Countdown Clock for the opening round of the 2019 National motorcycle road racing championships presented by the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers at Shannonville Motorsport Park.

The Shannonville track, located about 15 minutes east of Belleville, ON, on the 401 Highway, first hosted a National event in September of 1980.  The popular, multi-use venue was then much less developed, and known as Nelson International Raceway.  That race weekend 39 years ago was the second-ever such event held for Superbikes in Canada.

This is the third year in a row that West City Powersports Honda have taken a sponsorship position with the National Superbike Championships in their annual Shannonville Motorsport Park appearance.

WCPS represents Honda in Belleville servicing the entire Quinte region with Honda motorcycles, ATV and side by sides as well as the complete line of Honda power products and marine. They also carry a complete line of rider and machine accessories in their Belleville west location, staffed by knowledgeable and helpful enthusiasts.

“The Mopar CSBK races at Shannonville are the biggest motorsport event in the Quinte area, an event that we take pride in supporting,” said WCPS Honda manager Chad Musclow. “We are well aware that the Mopar CSBK series has enjoyed a long history especially at the Shannonville track and we hope to continue our association with the event into the future.”

The West City Powersports Honda Starting Lights will officially launch the 2019 Mopar Canadian National Superbike Championships at Shannonville Motorsports Park May 17th through 19th 2019.
