CSBK revises schedule for Sunday, June 11 at Grand Bend

Bridgestone Canadian Superbike Championship officials confirmed a revised schedule of events for Sunday’s second day of racing at the Grand Bend Motorplex, which is now available on the series’ official website here.

The revisions were made in anticipation of unpredictable weather in Grand Bend on Sunday, June 11, with periodic rain and potential thunderstorms expected throughout the day.

As is standard at CSBK events, officials will provide additional practice time if the track is deemed to be wet at any point prior to Sunday’s final races, which has been reflected in the revised schedule.

No race distances have been shortened at this time, though CSBK officials reserve the right to make any additional changes and revisions deemed necessary.

Racing is now tentatively set to get underway at 11:10 am ET with race two in the Super Sonic Race School Amateur Lightweight class, while Liqui Moly Pro Sport Bike is set for 12:40 pm ET and the second feature GP Bikes Pro Superbike race at 3:00 pm ET.

Ben Young was Saturday’s winner in a dominant showing for the Van Dolder’s Home Team BMW squad, though Alex Dumas mastered the wet conditions in round one and will hope to do the same in round two aboard his Purple Skull Brewing/Liqui Moly Suzuki.

The full revised schedule is now posted online at csbk.ca.
