Meet the Superbike riders at Pro Cycle

DARTMOUTH, NS – The Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship is coming to Atlantic Motorsport Park this weekend, July 25, 26, 27.

Presented by Pro Cycle and the Society of Atlantic Roadracing League, round 3 of the National championship series will take place at the historic 2.56-km, 11-turn circuit near Shubenacadie, NS with practice sessions on Friday, official qualifying sessions on Saturday, and final races on Sunday.

Prior to the race weekend, there will be an opportunity to meet some of the fastest motorcycle racers in Canada during Pro Cycle’s annual Meet the Riders event on Thursday evening from 6pm-9pm at their Windmill Road location.

Two of the National riders who will be in attendance at Thursday’s event are Pro Cycle sponsored brothers Austin and Jacob Shaw-O’Leary from Falmouth, NS. 15-year-old Jacob currently sits third in the Honda CBR250R National Series point standings and is aiming for victory in the two CBR250R races this weekend.

Unfortunately, Jacob’s older brother Austin has missed the first two rounds of the CSBK season due to injury. However, the 18-year-old is expected to be a front-runner in the Pro Sport Bike class at Atlantic Motorsport Park on his Honda CBR600RR.

Another Pro Cycle sponsored rider competing in the Honda CBR250R series this weekend is Connor Warnell. The Dartmouth, NS rider earned a pair of second place podium finishes at the Nova Scotia CSBK round last season.

Three-time National Pro Sport Bike champion Jodi Christie will also be at the event. The Honda Canada / Accelerated Technologies rider scored his first career Pro Superbike win, and won the Pro Sport Bike race, at Atlantic Motorsport Park one year ago.

Thursday’s autograph sessions are part of Pro Cycle’s annual “Fast Bikes” Show-n-Shine, featuring a DJ, BBQ, and door prizes, including weekend passes to the races. Advance weekend tickets for the races are available for sale at Pro Cycle.

Pro Cycle has been serving Metro Halifax motorcycle and ATV customers since 1983, and has been a long-time supporter of local and national motorcycle racing. Pro Cycle is also proud to be sponsor of the official Mopar CSBK series web site.
