This weekend, at the 4th round of the Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship at Atlantic Motorsport Park in Nova Scotia was my best performance of my career!
To start the long weekend, I practiced on Thursday to familiarize myself with the track in order to be ready for the first weekend of two races of the season.
Then Friday was the day of qualifying. These results would decide the position I was going to start on the starting line for tomorrow's race. I finished 4th in Liqui Moly Pro Sport Bike and 8th in Mopar Pro Superbike in these timed practice! So I was very motivated for the race of the next two days.
On Saturday, just before the Sport Bike race, it started to rain. So I was a bit nervous because it was my first race in the rain. However, I still finished 6th with a comfortable lead! Subsequently, the Superbike race was my best performance and by far the most exciting of my career! I finished in 6th position with my 600cc bike in the 1000cc class and I was the first among the 600cc! In addition, the race was extremely tight between the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th place and I made great overtaking! It was a big accomplishment for me and a great way to end the day!
On Sunday, for the Sport Bike race, I had to start on the 4th row of the start (9th position): indeed, the race association (CSBK) takes the time of our best timed lap from the race of the day before, which was in the rain. In other words, it was harder for me to do the best possible performance, however I still made my best result of the season finishing 5th! And to finish the weekend, I did another great performance in the Superbike category with my 600cc finishing 9th!
I am very happy with my results and I have put a lot of effort into getting there. I feel that my goal is getting closer and closer, but I have to work harder to reach it!
There is only one last weekend of races remaining for the 2018 season. It will take place at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Ontario! Last but not least!
I thank the companies and the people who support me, because without them nothing would be possible!
