With much excitement we announce Trevor Daley will be campaigning the 2019 Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship (CSBK) aboard a Suzuki Canada GSX-R1000RR prepared by Scott Miller’s Fast Company. After a fantastic 2018 season, Daley is ecstatic to be back aboard a Suzuki. On December 7, 2018, Daley finalized a partnership with Suzuki Canada’s Bill Porter and Paul Shantz to see the Mississauga, Ontario, rider aboard the benchmark GSX-R1000RR for the upcoming season.
The Suzuki GSX-R has carried Daley to his best career results, and as he threw a leg over the new model while at Suzuki Canada’s new state-of-the-art facility in Barrie, Ontario, he couldn’t help but notice the esthetic refinements and anticipate the performance upgrades the new bike has to offer.
“The bike is very sleek and compact over previous models,” Daley said. “The narrower fuel tank feels very comfortable and natural. With Brembo brake calipers and Brembo T-drive rotors as standard equipment, you can tell this bike is built to perform.”
2018’s CSBK championship saw the maturation of Daley’s naturally aggressive riding. Additionally, Daley formed an off-track relationship with long-time bike-building powerhouse Scott Miller of Fast Company.
Miller will soon begin to prep a pair of superbikes that he’ll maintain trackside during the 2019 season, ensuring Suzuki will once again become a force in Canadian roadracing.
“Having been heavily involved in the preparation and technical aspect of my own race bikes means that Scott and I speak a common language,” Daley said. “I’m very excited for us to work together in 2019. My confidence is at an all-time high and Scott’s expertise applied to the already fantastic GSX-R will be amazing.
Daley is looking forward to pre-season testing on the new bike, as well as participating in off-season Suzuki and CSBK series promotional events. With the 2019 race season looming, Daley encourages enthusiasts to follow his and Suzuki Canada’s social media feeds to keep up-to-date on the latest events, new product information, and to learn details on where you can meet Daley—and pick up your own GSX-R1000RR—prior to the upcoming season.
