Team News: Van Dolder’s Home Team joins Ben Young Racing for Round 2

BYR is excited to announce that Van Dolder’s Home Team will be joining Ben Young Racing for Title Sponsor for the 2nd round of Mopar Canadian Superbike Championships being held at Grand Bend Motorplex, June 7th / 9th.

With their head office located in Owen Sound, Van Dolder’s Custom Exteriors Home Team recently opened a new “village-style” showroom in Collingwood. This new showroom provides customers with an amazing display of the best and latest brands of building supplies like; siding, windows, entrance doors, decking and railings, garage doors, soffit and eaves troughs.

Founder, Andy Van Dolder, started the company during his teenage years selling doors for his brother out of the back of his truck. Today, the successful home improvement business is run by Andy’s two sons, Kris and Tim. Celebrating over 50 years in business, the Van Dolder family is one of the most well know names in providing outstanding service, superior workmanship and high-quality products to customers and contractors.

It was not all work in the early days. Kris was a keen and very competitive Snowmobile racer himself. From the ages of 14 to 29, Kris competed across North America in the Formula 1 Twin Track and later went on to be a Champion 440 Single Track racer. Kris commented “we understand Ben’s commitment to become one of the top guys. The travelling, teams costs and the day-to-day stuff you personally give up to become one of the best in your sport. We’re delighted to have this opportunity to support Ben and his team, and look forward to cheering him on in Grand Bend and for the rest of the season.”

After dominating the first round of the 2019 MOPAR Canadian Superbike Championship on board the Scot-Build / Barrie Trim BMW S1000RR at Shannonville, Young’s confidence is high. Grand Bend has been a successful track for him in the past. Talking with him about Van Dolder’s Custom Exteriors Home Team joining the team, Ben stated, “I’m very excited for the coming weekend at Grand Bend, I cannot thank Van Dolder’s enough for joining us as Title Sponsor for this event and I’m looking forward to giving them 110% on and off the track. In my day job, swinging a hammer with Scot-Build, Van Dolder’s Home Team have been supplying us with great service and products for quite a time now. It’ll be fun seeing them and having them involved at the race track too!”

Young’s partners for his 2019 CSBK Championship season include; Van Dolder’s Custom Exteriors Home  Team, Scot-build Developments, BMW Motorrad Canada, Barrie Trim & Mouldings, ACF-50, Joe Rocket, Arai Helmets, Hindle Exhaust, Woodcraft, Bickle Racing, DP Brakes, Motion Pro, K-Tech Suspension, Liqui-Moly, Weireverywhereracing, Willy Vass Performance Cycle.

The 25-year-old pilot of the #86 BMW S1000RR is also a proud "Laps for Muscular Dystrophy" (Laps4MD) rider who has pledged to donate $1 for every lap he leads this season. These donations go to Muscular Dystrophy Canada to help make a difference in the lives of over 50,000 Canadians affected by a neuromuscular disorder.
