When you’re looking for inspiration, it’s necessary to call upon the boldest and brightest in your circle. With that in mind, Trevor reached out to an old pal, Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius. “Though no one can go back and make a brand-new start,” Marcus texted Trevor, “anyone can start from now and make a brand-new strategy.” Just the words Trevor needs as round two of the Bridgestone Canadian Superbike series (csbk.ca) invades Ontario’s Grand Bend Motorplex this coming weekend, June 9-11.
With the bruises from a vicious highside (mostly) healed, Trevor’s OneSpeedInc, Suzuki-Canada-backed squad put their heads together in a hunt for the feel missing from Trevor’s GSX-R at Shannonville’s opening round. Reverting to past electronic settings known to Trevor should guide the team to the light as they seek to understand the malaise they encountered in round one. Stepping in to lend his expertise this weekend is racing fixture Jon Cornwell, who’ll help to compensate for the absence of crew chief Scott Cameron, who had unexpected family commitments. Also joining the team this weekend are racing stalwarts Roland Riedmann and Pat Barnes.
Grade A assistance allied with Trevor’s Grand Bend history suggests the ship will be righted this coming weekend. Last season at Grand Bend, Trevor stood on the podium and
produced the race’s fastest lap, a history he’ll be keen to repeat. Sitting just eight points out of second place in the superbike standings, Grand Bend Motorplex makes for ideal hunting grounds for Trevor to rekindle his quest for a superbike title.
As always, if you make it to the track be sure to say hello to Trevor, and for those who simply must be at the forefront of fashion, OneSpeedInc racing t-shirts are back in stock for either purchase at the track or for pre-purchase via Trevor’s Instagram @onespeedinc.
