O'Leary Brothers Racing rider Jacob Shaw-O'Leary had a successful weekend of Honda CBR250R National Series racing at Atlantic Motorsport Park during the third stop of the Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship series July 25-27.
Shaw-O'Leary scored the maximum number of points available for a weekend after securing pole position during Saturday morning’s qualifying session and following up with race wins on Saturday and Sunday at the Shubenacadie, NS circuit. Shaw-O'Leary also picked up the two point bonus per race for leading the most laps on his Honda CBR250R.
The Pro Cycle sponsored rider now sits a close second in the championship point standings, only one point behind series leader Eric Quintin.
"I'm really happy to have turned things back around after St-Eustache," stated Shaw-O'Leary. "To get pole position and win both races this weekend is a great way to head into the last races of the year.”
After finishing off the podium at the two previous rounds at Autodrome St-Eustache, Shaw-O’Leary set his sights on the top of the box for his home rounds, leading most of the way to the finish during Saturday’s race and finishing over 12 seconds ahead of the rest of the field in Sunday’s race.
The final two rounds of the 2014 Honda CBR250R National Series take place at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park near Bowmanville, ON on August 16 and 17.
Shaw-O’Leary’s sponsors include O’Leary Brothers Racing, Pro Cycle, Kimpex, Bell Helmets, Oxford Products, Ipone, Vital Sine.
