To be eligible for the Pro Superbike Rookie of the Year standings and year-end award, a rider must meet the following criteria prior to round one of the Pro Superbike season.
The rider must not have:
- Six (6) or more total career Pro Superbike race starts
- Four (4) or more Pro Superbike race starts in any previous individual season
- Won a previous Pro Rookie of the Year award regardless of race starts
- Won a previous Pro Sport Bike championship
The rider also must not have:
- Six (6) or more race starts in any equivalent Pro Superbike series, including (but not limited to) MotoAmerica Superbike, British Superbike, Australian Superbike, etc.
- Started in any World Championship competition, including (but not limited to) MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3, MotoE, World Superbike, World Supersport, World Superstock, or World Endurance.
Any rider who is ruled ineligible based on the above criteria can apply for special exemption, which will be determined on a case-by-case basis by CSBK staff.
Note: These regulations will be “grandfathered” into the 2023 season, meaning the following riders who competed in 2022 and would otherwise be ruled ineligible will remain eligible for one (1) season only under the new regulations

- #34 Rennie Scaysbrook
