The Nine Days of Crevier: Day 8

Leading up to Steve Crevier’s induction into the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame tomorrow evening, November 17 at the Delta Hotel in Burnaby, British Columbia, CSBK are celebrating the career of the soon-to-be-Hall of Famer, a six time Canadian National Superbike Champion and works rider for Yamaha Motor Canada, Yoshimura-Suzuki (x 2!), Canadian Kawasaki, Erion-Honda, Muzzy-Kawasaki, American Honda, Honda Canada, Diablo Honda/Suzuki and Deeley Buell/Harley-Davidson.

In our final historic image of Steve Crevier, we see him in the hairpin turn two at one of his favourite venues, Atlantic Motorsport Park, in Nova Scotia.  The year is 2001, and Crevier is well on is way to his second consecutive overall National Superbike crown aboard the works Honda RC51 twin tuned by Peter Snell.  This success was Crevier’s sixth and final overall number one Canadian National title, although he continued to win races and earn Championships in other categories, including the Harley XR production Championship in 2012.  Note Crevier’s Beaver logo on the back of his replica HJC helmet!

Our “ninth day” coverage of Crevier will involve his Hall of Fame Induction, coming soon.
