CSBK Road Racers Brave the Cold at Montreal Show

The Motorcycle Show Montreal runs at the downtown Palais des Congres Feb 27 through March 1, and many of the top riders in the MOPAR CSBK Series were on hand for the festivities.  Huge crowds were a highlight of the first two days of the show, even though the weather outside was far from ideal.

The locally-backed OCM racing team was out in force, with lead rider Franklyn Dominguez meeting fans in a booth that included a wide selection of 2014 National Trophies.  2014 Bell Helmets Amateur Sport Bike National Champion Tomas Casas made the trip from Peterborough, ON.  OCM Racing’s Tommy showed off his recently repaired wrist following his late season fall during his Pro debut at a RACE event at Shannonville Motorsport Park last September.

Another top 2014 Amateur, OCM Racing backed Honda pilot Stacey Nesbitt, is not so far along on the recovery trail.  Nesbitt is currently working around a soft cast on her right wrist, after surgery to repair damage that occurred way back in 2010!  She hopes to be in better-than-before shape in time for the start of the 2015 MOPAR CSBK tour at Calabogie MotorSports Park in June.

As usual during Show Season, many racers were visiting the Dunlop race tire and Pro 6 Cycle booth.  Veteran Pro Michael Leon as well as the popular cosmopolitan Sean Huffman were helping out at Pro 6, and preparing to announce their plans for the 2015 CSBK Nationals. Former top Amateur Philippe Masse, now a Pro Sport Bike ace, was also in attendance, along with ASM co-owner Eric Moffat.
