Let your race bike Go West! with CSBK

MOPAR CSBK Announce BCR-backed Go West! Race Bike Travel Plan for July Edmonton National

In an initiative to attract larger grids for the first-ever MOPAR CSBK Double Header at Edmonton’s Castrol Raceway, sponsored by Parts Canada, series organizers have developed a plan to allow economical transport of race bikes to Alberta for the July 9-12 events.  This shipping program is called Go West!

Under the direction of Whitby’s Brooklin Cycle Racing, Canada’s premier motorcycle shipping and logistics company serving the power sports industry, 15 spots are available to Go West!, taking race bikes and equipment in one of BCR’s tractor-trailer rigs to Castrol Raceway’s Edmonton MOPAR CSBK Event.

Since the Castrol Raceway venue is very close to the Edmonton International Airport, and shares a wide range of hotels and services just south of Edmonton, the bike shipping plan offers budget conscious CSBK National Tour competitors the chance to efficiently attend the Alberta debut without having to drive to the venue themselves.

Racers will deliver their bikes and basic equipment to BCR’s base in Whitby, ON, on Friday evening, July 4 or Saturday morning, July 5.  The bikes and gear will then travel to Alberta with the equipment available to teams at the track on Thursday morning, July 9.  Promoter’s Practice takes place on that Thursday, followed by Official practice and Qualifying on Friday, July 10 and the twin National programs on Saturday and Sunday, July 11 and 12.

Bikes and gear will be available for pick-up upon their return to the eastern Toronto area on Friday evening, July 17.

Competitors can ship their bikes, basic equipment, limited tools, tire warmers, gas cans, stands, spare wheels, E-Z up type tent and a limited number of spares.  A central generator and basic tent set-up will be provided for the racers and crew.

Competitors will have to arrange their own travel, hotels, rental vehicles, spec Dunlop tires, fuel, and entry fees separately.  A unique incentive will provide a full Go West! Program refund for travel to the Go West! competitor who achieves the best race placing, Amateur or Professional class, over the course of the National weekend.

The cost to ship one bike gear is a subsidized $900 per motorcycle, with space limited, on a first come, first served basis.  Organizers expect to have all the spaces booked prior to the opening MOPAR CSBK round, the Calabogie Motorsports Park opener presented by MV Agusta, June 11-14.  A meeting will be held at the Calabogie opener to review the plans and provide racers with details of the arrangements for the Edmonton trip.
