As the year winds down and the holiday season ramps up, Trevor Daley's thoughts are already ahead to the 2020 Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship (CSBK.ca). After a successful 2019 race season, which had Trevor take his Suzuki GSX-R 1000R to the Pro Superbike podium on three successive race weekends, Trevor's 2020 goal is the podium's top step. To that end, Trevor is pleased to announce his continuing partnership with Suzuki Canada, which will see Trevor return to competition aboard the industry-leading GSX-R 1000R.
“Making a return to riding a 'Gixxer' for the 2019 season was a huge boost to my program, and I’m stoked to continue with Suzuki for a second straight year,” said Trevor. “Starting fresh on a new bike last year presented challenges, but by the second race weekend we were at the front and in the fight, as the bike had great feel and feedback, making it easy for me to find the limits. The setup knowledge developed with Full Spectrum racing’s Dave Weaver gives us a leg-up as 2020 dawns.”
Trevor's progression next season will be aided by the evolution of the GSX-R itself, as the 2020 model offers riders the advantages of adjustable chassis geometry. The addition of a new track to the CSBK schedule for the series’ 40th anniversary—the ICAR circuit north of Montreal—brings a welcome challenge for Trevor and further opportunity to put the new GSX-R to the test.
Since the new year brings a new round of Canadian motorcycle shows, be sure to check out the entire GSX-R family of 600, 750, and 1,000 cc models in addition to the new Katana and the full Suzuki Canada lineup of motorcycles and ATVs. Stay tuned to Suzuki Canada's and Trevor's social media feeds for forthcoming details on the motorcycle shows and learn where and when you can meet Trevor in person.
