Two-time Liqui Moly Pro Sport Bike National Champion and current Yamaha Canada Pro Superbike rider Tomas Casas is pleased to announce the new partnerships of ITK9 and Motul for the 2020 season, as well as the continued support from engine case covers makers GBRacing.
ITK9, short for ITrainK9, is a dog training company. ITK9 provides dog behavior training and education for clients on how to sustain a happy and comfortable life with the animal as part of the family. ITK9 has come onboard as one of Tomas’ main sponsors for the 2020 season.
“ITK9 is an amazing dog training company owned by Jason Wright. A dog lover, motorcycle enthusiast and a good friend and student of mine”, explains Casas, who occasionally coaches Jason during track days. “I am very grateful and happy to start this partnership alongside ITK9. They will be our third main sponsor and their contribution means a lot to our program.”
After a successful Superbike rookie season, finishing fourth in the CSBK National championship aboard his Yamaha YZF-R1, Tomas did more than just impress ITK9 owner Wright. Furthermore, his positive affirmations regarding the R1 have influenced Jason in the purchase of a brand new 2020 YZF-R1, which he hopes to ride alongside Casas in the near future.
“We are delighted to be supporting Tomas so that he has the necessary equipment to show what he is truly capable of, a championship ride,” Wright said.
Casas is also pleased to announce Motul as his official oil sponsor. Motul is a brand he has used since his early career and is amongst the best oils in the motorcycle racing industry.
“We have run Motul ever since my motocross days, so to be able to create a direct relationship with a brand you have used and trusted for so long is amazing,” said the 20-year old Colombian native.
Casas’ relationship with Motul even extends through his father, Julio, who was the distributor for Motul Colombia during his own racing career.
Lastly, Casas is very grateful for the continued support of GBRacing, the only FIM-approved company of its kind. Since 2009, GBRacing have designed superior engine case covers, both for street and track use.
“We are happy to continue to support Tomas for 2020, and we appreciate having a great ambassador over in Canada!” said Stuart Bennett, team coordinator for GBRacing.
“To be able to represent and deal with a company of such supremacy is very special. We are very happy to be amongst the teams GBRacing support, knowing they work in close hand with MotoGP and WSBK teams,” said Casas.
Tomas acknowledges the COVID-19 pandemic may result in a shortened or even cancelled 2020 race season but wanted to share the partnerships that have helped his career take another step forward. In the meantime, he wishes everyone health and wellness through these tough times.
Casas has been staying home playing his part to flatten the curve against COVID-19 and encourages fans to do the same, all whilst training from home and preparing for the unknown future.
Tomas Casas Racing would also like to thank the continued support of Yamaha Motor Canada, Parts Canada, Pro 6 Cycle & Dunlop Tires, Hindle Exhaust, Brooklin Cycle Racing, Flexiglass, Bickle Racing, Blue Streak Racing, DP Brakes, Human 2.0, Vortex, Peterborough Cycle Salvage, Trackdayhub.com and all other personnel and fans for their love and support.
