Team News: Alex Dumas will wear Furygan in CSBK

Alex Dumas will have at least one thing in common with Joann Zarco, the fastest rider in MotoGP, during 2021. Alex will be wearing Furygan suits that are technically identical to those worn in some of the world's biggest motorcycle competitions. Equipment entirely developed and manufactured in France, alongside the gear of MotoGP riders, where the French brand's Competition Department has integrated many major technologies: high quality leather, Kevlar®, D3O® and an airbag with In & motion® technology will therefore add to the renowned expertise of the panther brand.

Furygan's Canadian distributor, Importation T.A, is supplying the MotoGP-style suits for the debut Dumas campaign in the Canadian National Superbike Championship, CSBK.

The 2021 CSBK National tour is scheduled to begin at Calabogie Motorsports Park, south west of Ottawa, ON, July 10-11. 

The competitions will be broadcast on The Sports Network, TSN, with separate episodes devoted to each Pro Superbike Feature race. The rest of the national championship will be schedule based on access through the opening of the borders between Ontario and Quebec. 

Import T.A will also supply the CL Brakes brake pads, a French brand that even stops the French TGV high speed rail service, as well as SERT Suzuki, the multiple world endurance champion team.

Alex Dumas will ride a Suzuki GSX-R1000, a brand for which he rode in the United States for two years in Moto America with Team Hammer, the official Suzuki Motor America team. He won one championship aboard a Suzuki SV650 twin and two Junior Cups on a KTM 390 single. 

In Stock 1000 action last year, Dumas started well with several podiums, but a fall and broken arm ended his 2020 season prematurely. This season’s Suzuki GSX-R1000 racer will be prepared for Dumas by Patrice Goyette from MPG in Sherbrooke, QC.

18-year-old Dumas is currently studying for his airplane pilot's license. He will also be an instructor for the Shannonville-based Fast School. To end the 2021 season on a high note, Dumas aims to return to the United States to race the final two rounds of the MotoAmerica series at the Barber Motorsports Park circuit in Alabama.
