As of this weekend, the race is on to see who has the goods to become the 2022 Canadian Superbike (csbk.ca) champion. Trevor Daley’s OneSpeedInc GSX-Rs are, as you read this, already at the track and ready to take a run at the title. After an interminably long off-season, Trevor’s fitness and preparedness are at an all-time high and all that’s left to do is point the bike toward the track and get at it.
Hosting this opening round is Ontario’s Grand Bend Motorplex (grandbendmotorplex.com). Situated on Ontario’s scenic left coast, northwest of London and mere minutes inland from the pristine sand beaches of Lake Huron, Grand Bend is an ideal venue to combine a day away with the best motorcycle racing in Canada.
In pre-season testing—including a trip to mega-fast Canadian Tire Motorsport Park—Trevor quickly got up to speed, and he’s keen to exploit refinements made to his Suzuki over the off-season. Trevor will be on track Friday afternoon for pro superbike qualifying, to be followed by a double-header weekend with races Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
Of course, there’s more to racing than just racing. Trevor is keen to reconnect with friends and familiar faces, and if you make it to Grand Bend, come around to the pit and say hello. If you can’t make it, follow along @onespeedinc for updates throughout the weekend.
