Toronto, ON – Canadian Kawasaki Motors is excited to announce that 14-time Canadian Superbike Champion and fan-favourite Jordan Szoke will once again join with Kawasaki to ride a Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R for the 2024 CSBK title.
As well, Pro Sport Bike race winner Connor Campbell, who made his superbike debut with Waznie Racing in the final Canadian Superbike round of the season at Shannonville in 2023, will also continue his transition into the flagship category of the Bridgestone Canadian Superbike Championship (CSBK) under the Campbell Racing umbrella.
Szoke, who was inducted into the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2023, began racing with Kawasaki in 1998 when he scored his first National Superbike Championship with Team Green at only 19 years old. He has since won 78 races and 14 titles.
After a difficult two years for his health ‘The People’s Champion’ will focus on his own one-bike effort out of the Waznie Racing stables for this season.
“I am incredibly grateful and excited to return this season with renewed energy and vigor. I cannot wait to get back on the track and reclaim the title”, Szoke said. “It’ll be good to focus on my program and execute that on track.”
Szoke will be riding a 2024 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R featuring integrated aerodynamic winglets and a high-horsepower inline four engine.
Campbell will be riding a Waznie-Racing built 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R out of his own stable with backing from B&T McFarlane and Canadian Kawasaki. Szoke has promised to lend his expertise to the program after Campbell’s squad purchased one of the 2023 campaign machines.
“Connor Campbell has shown a lot of promise and I am happy to help him develop where I can throughout the year,” said Szoke, whose 2023 Ninja ZX-10R is the bike Campbell will ride in this year’s season.
Campbell said, “2023 was good to me. My debut with Kawasaki was even better than I could have imagined and I am geared up and raring to go for the 2024 season!” He added, “Kawasaki has helped bring this program together and I’m stoked to be a really well-built bike I know I can compete on.
“Bring on 2024!”
Bridgestone Canadian National Superbike Championship is a six-event calendar for 2024 with the season opener scheduled for May 17-19 at Shannonville Motorsports Park in Ontario.
Let the good times roll!
