Round 2 Report from Sebastien Tremblay

Grand Bend Motorplex Round 2: Breaking the curse

We came into this Bridgestone CSBK weekend with conflicting feelings. On the up side we knew that the talented local riders and the welcomed participation of Trevor Daley was going to make this a competitive weekend. But we also had experienced too many crashes at this venue and still remember the taste of being robbed of our 2019 victory.

So, our goals for the weekend were to not crash, to bring back as many points as possible, to win and to not break anything because we would not have the time to fix much before the next round in Edmonton.

Race 1 of the Economy Lube Pro Sport Bike class was an exciting race, Sebastien was fourth at the beginning of the race but slowly made his way up to the front to lead the last 5 laps. First (official) victory at Grand Bend gave us a good points lead and took some pressure off his back.

Race 2 of the Economy Lube Pro Sport Bike class was exciting on a whole different level. Was the curse of the past rearing its ugly head again? The team noticed that Sebastien was making more riding errors than we are used to seeing, something was definitely off. That something was one of his contact lenses that didn't stay put, making it challenging to say the least. Finishing second was the best we could do, and Sebastien was happy that this race was done and over with. Thankfully, it also brought with it an additional 20 points for the championship.

Onwards to RAD Torque Raceway in Edmonton for some more racing!
