Promotors of Round 4 of the Mopar CSBK Canadian Superbike Championship are proud to announce that the Atlantic round of the national series will be presented by Honda Canada.
Round 4, scheduled for this weekend (July 20-22), marks the fourth straight year that Honda has sponsored the Atlantic Motorsport Park round.
“Honda has been a big part of making this event happen over the past few years and we’re happy to have them onboard again in 2018,” commented Rob O’Brien, co-owner of event promotor Pro Cycle. “Pro Cycle is celebrating our 35th year this season and Honda has been our partner since the beginning.”
Heading into the second half of the CSBK season, the Atlantic round will feature a Doubleheader for Mopar Pro Superbike and Liqui Moly Pro Sport Bike, with races for both classes on Saturday and Sunday.
Pro Cycle sponsored Jacob Shaw-O’Leary (Falmouth, NS) will be the Honda rider to watch at Atlantic Motorsport Park. The 2014 Honda CBR250R National Champion, now a second year Pro on the national tour, missed the first three rounds of 2018 due to an injury suffered before the start of the season. Making his return to the series, the 19-year-old is one of the favourites at AMP in the Pro Sport Bike class on his Honda CBR600RR.
The Atlantic Superbike event is sanctioned by the Society of Atlantic Roadracing League, organizers of regional motorcycle racing at Atlantic Motorsport Park. ARL riders will be showcased in two support classes on the weekend.
Kicking off the Round 4 weekend will be Pro Cycle’s annual “Fast Bikes” show-n-shine and “Meet the Riders” night. Held at their Dartmouth store at 360 Higney Avenue on the evening of Thursday, July 19 (6pm-9pm), the event has become a tradition at the Atlantic CSBK round, giving race fans a chance to check out some great looking motorcycles and meet some of their favourite Superbike riders at the same time. Fans can also enter to win an HJC RPHA 11 Spiderman helmet and weekend passes to the races.
Specially priced advance tickets for CSBK Round 4 are available in-store at Pro Cycle and online at www.csbk.ca.
Pro Cycle has been serving Halifax and surrounding area motorcycle and ATV riders since 1983 and is a proud partner of the Mopar CSBK Championship series.
