Torin Collins made a powerful entrance to the 2025 Bridgestone Canadian Superbike Championship season at Shannonville Motorsport Park, claiming pole position and back-to-back wins in the Pro Supersport class. Riding the Novalda Suzuki, the 19-year-old brought sharp racecraft, bold moves, and undeniable entertainment value—delivering a weekend that thrilled fans and confirmed his place as a top contender for the championship.

Behind this breakout performance was a family-led team grounded in trust, adaptability, and purpose. Torin’s father, Rupert Collins, served as Crew Chief, guiding the setup of a freshly assembled bike and working through the mechanical demands of a circuit that tests both rider and machine. It was a weekend that called for attention, responsiveness, and teamwork—qualities the crew embodied at every turn.

“It didn’t always feel smooth,” Rupert admitted with a laugh, “but we had a plan, and we stuck to it. We responded to what came up and kept it moving forward.”

Ryan Ratzlaff, supporting both on the grid and during the races, brought a steady presence and an ability to jump in wherever needed—calm, ready, and attuned to the pulse of the weekend.

“As Torin’s mother and founder of Novalda, I wasn’t at the track, but I followed every moment through the voices, messages, and stories shared over the weekend,” says Kerry Woodcock, Executive Director of Novalda, the team’s title sponsor. “What moved me most wasn’t just the results, but the sense of purpose and connection within the team. The love, trust, and intention in how they worked together—father and son, with those supporting around them—was powerful. It was a joy to witness that kind of collaboration, even from afar.”

Novalda, a Canadian company specializing in coaching education and leadership development, is known for creating reflective spaces where transformation unfolds. Whether in the paddock or the boardroom, its work centres on cultivating leaders who can hold tension, move with clarity, and adapt to fast-moving systems—qualities that played out visibly on and off the track this weekend.

“I just focused on staying calm, reading the race, and taking the opportunities when they came,” said Torin. “The move into the chicane was tight—I wasn’t sure I’d get the bike stopped in time—but it worked, and it felt amazing to bring it home.”

Torin’s riding style stood out across the weekend—not just for its speed, but for its boldness and precision. His approach to cornering—authoritative, fluid, and more reminiscent of MotoGP than typical CSBK form—brought a distinctive energy to the track. Fans and commentators alike noted the difference, and the results spoke for themselves. It's a kind of racecraft that doesn’t just chase victory, but keeps spectators on the edge of their seats—fully awake to every moment. In that way, it echoes Novalda’s own ethos: working at the edge, where clarity meets challenge, and something new emerges.

The Collins Racing team is also proudly supported by a growing roster of sponsors, including Kabuto, Mithos Leathers, Bickle Racing, Terraburst, Locks Pharmacy, Rocky Mountain Motorsports and others, whose contributions help power both the technical and human performance of the team. Their backing reflects a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and next-level racing. As Torin continues to compete in both the CSBK Pro Supersport series and the MotoAmerica Supersport Championship—flying the Canadian flag on both sides of the border—the team is excited to grow its sponsorship family. They welcome those who see racing not just as a sport, but as a dynamic platform for shared values, visibility, and transformation.
