The Bridgestone Canadian Superbike Championship will again feature a pair of thrilling events alongside its usual on-track action in 2025, with the return of the Bagger Racing League and an inaugural partnership with the Canadian Motorcycle Drag Racing Association confirmed this summer.
The BRL made its Canadian debut last season at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park with great success, and will now return for a second annual appearance at the venue for this year’s CSBK finale at CTMP, set for August 7-10.
Bagger racing has grown to become some of the most popular motorsports action across North America in recent years, and the partnership between CSBK and the BRL proved to be another hit in 2024 when the American series went north of the border for the first time, with Canadian star Sam Guerin winning both races for Harley-Davidson.
The return of the BRL to “Old Mosport” (just an hour east of Toronto) will be the final event in what is slated to be another exciting year for CSBK fans, with another new experience confirmed for round three at RAD Torque Raceway near Edmonton, Alberta.
The series will be joined by the Canadian Motorcycle Drag Racing Association for the first time on their western swing, with the CMDRA heading to RAD Torque alongside the CSBK tripleheader, July 4-6.
The partnership will serve as the third event of the CMDRA season, and will feature both traditional two-wheeled drag racing at the on-site drag strip as well as a stunt show featuring The Twin West Stunt Crew during the weekend, bringing plenty of action to the circuit just a half-hour south of Edmonton.
The CMDRA festivities will include a cash-prize drag racing shootout on Saturday and an “introduction to drag racing” school on Sunday at RAD Torque, ensuring a weekend full of entertainment alongside the CSBK action.
The addition of these events to the standard Bridgestone CSBK season coincide with an effort to make race weekends more exciting for both fans and competitors alike, after the launch of similar events in 2024 proved to be a major hit within the paddock.
The off-track action will support what is already expected to be one of the most exciting seasons in CSBK history, with a new-look Pro Superbike grid and rebranded Pro Supersport class headlining a number of national championship battles for 2025.
