A pair of exciting series sponsors were confirmed on Wednesday ahead of the Bridgestone Canadian Superbike Championship season opener this weekend, with one familiar brand and one new name supporting the national series for 2025.
BS Battery will continue to serve as the feature sponsor of the qualifying sessions in the GP Bikes Pro Superbike class, a successful partnership that began in 2022. That sponsorship will again include the season-long BS Battery Pole Award, which tracks Q2 performances across the entire season to determine the Superbike class’s best overall qualifier.
Ben Young has captured the Pole Position Award every year since its inception, taking nine BS Battery pole’s since the brand joined as the qualifying supporter, with Alex Dumas (4), Sam Guerin (1), and Trevor Dion (1) the other pole-sitters in that span.
Founded in France in 2008, BS Battery has quickly grown to become one of the biggest and most recognizable powersports battery companies in the world, offering more than 400 battery options in over 80 different countries. Notable partners include MotoGP’s factory Aprilia Racing Team, former MotoGP champion Fabio Quartararo, and the GMT94 Yamaha World Superbike team, amongst others.
BS Battery is officially distributed in Canada by Importations Thibault, a major supporter of the Bridgestone Canadian Superbike Championship.
Another new brand to join the series in 2025 will be Powersports TO, taking over as the official sponsor of the starting lights for each race across all national classes this season.
Located just a short drive from downtown Toronto, Powersports TO is one of the GTA’s premier retailers of motorcycles, helmets, gear, communication systems, oil, filters, and much more, as well as offering a top-notch service department for all makes and models.
A primary distributor of Triumph, Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, and CFMoto machines, Powersports TO is a welcome addition to the paddock as a valued supporter of the series and it’s starting lights, which will be featured on all 36 broadcasts across TSN and RDS this season.
The latest campaign in the Bridgestone Canadian Superbike Championship will officially get underway this weekend, May 16-18, at historic Shannonville Motorsport Park, just an hour west of Kingston, Ontario.
