Defending CSBK Supersport Champion Torin Collins has confirmed his return to Altus Motorsports for the 2026 season, marking his third consecutive year with the Oklahoma-based team. Collins will compete aboard the Yamaha R9 in the MotoAmerica Supersport Championship, with 2026 marking his first season racing the new Yamaha platform.

After finishing ninth overall in the 2025 MotoAmerica Supersport standings and showing consistent gains in pace throughout the season, Collins enters 2026 focused on adapting quickly and continuing his progress aboard the R9.

“I’ve worked hard throughout the offseason to be sharper, stronger, and more prepared than ever,” Collins said. “The Yamaha R9 is a new challenge for me, and I’m excited to begin developing it with the Altus team.”

While Collins’ primary focus in 2026 will be MotoAmerica, calendar conflicts will prevent him from defending his CSBK Supersport title.

“It’s disappointing that I can’t defend my championship this year due to conflicting rounds,” Collins said. “Winning the CSBK Supersport title was a major milestone for me, but my commitment to MotoAmerica and the Altus program comes first.”

At this time, it remains uncertain whether Collins will contest select CSBK rounds, including Shubenacadie or Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, as scheduling and logistics are still under review.

Altus Motorsports enters the 2026 MotoAmerica Supersport season with a four-rider lineup that includes Collins, Jaret Nassaney, Max Gerardo, and Austin Martinez. With experienced technical staff and a focus on development, the team is targeting strong results throughout the season.

Collins’ participation in the Daytona round remains unconfirmed as funding is still being finalized, but preparations for the 2026 season are well underway.
