An excellent opening round has brought a pleasant change of plans for Tomas Casas and the FAST Riding School Suzuki team, as Casas will now contest the full 2026 Bridgestone CSBK campaign in hopes of securing a third national title in the OPP Racing Pro Supersport class.

Having initially only secured funding for rounds one and four at Shannonville and CTMP, respectively, Casas completed a near-perfect weekend at the season opener with a pair of victories in the Supersport division, extending a 14-point lead in the championship.

That success came together with incredible support from FAST Riding School and Fast Printing & Press, and both will now continue to provide vital backing as Casas heads east to Nova Scotia to defend his points lead this weekend, June 5-7.

The team will also welcome on a new supporter for round two at Atlantic Motorsport Park, as local dealer Pro Cycle - a longtime benefactor of CSBK and AMP - will return to the program with additional help to make his title quest possible.

“I can’t thank FAST Riding School, Fast Printing & Press, and Pro Cycle enough for helping get us out to Shubenacadie,” Tomas said. “I’m thrilled to be able to make round two happen and fully go for the championship.”

A two-time Supersport champion in 2017 and 2018, Casas continued climbing up the all-time class leaderboards in Shannonville with his 12th victory and 29th podium following race two, a tally he will aim to add to in Nova Scotia.

Two of those victories have come previously at AMP, including his most recent win prior to this season in 2019, marking a track Casas was no stranger to during his run atop the Supersport class.

The Peterborough native racked up seven consecutive podiums at the venue from 2016-2019, and claimed his first career Superbike podium at this same circuit in 2019 as well.

Casas last visited the venue in 2023, the year Nova Scotia was devastated by flooding and the event was infamously cancelled after one day of practice - a trip that was already marred by truck issues for the team.

“I’m really excited to try the new track surface out after the repaving over the last few years,” Tomas said. “It’s been a strong track for us and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to keep the momentum going out there!”

Aside from his own personal title quest, Casas’ efforts at Shannonville were also crucial to helping Suzuki open up a massive lead in the Constructors Championship, a trend he will be eager to continue for his new manufacturer.

Casas’ weekend will officially kick off on Friday morning, June 5, at the historic circuit just an hour north of Halifax, Nova Scotia, before doubleheader racing on Saturday and Sunday.

Casas and the team would like to thank Fast Riding School, Fast Printing Press, GBRacing, Hindle Exhaust, Arai Helmets, Bickle Racing, DP Brakes, Flexiglass, Vortex, Motul, Damian Pereira Photography, Taos's Peterborough, 88MOTO, Forsaken Motorsports, and all others who have supported him in making this possible.
